As promised, photos !
Still so unfamiliar with my camera, but gotta work with what I have.
I'm pleased to announce that my birthday's just around the corner, in another 3 days to be exact. I'm gonna be old and greying before I know it.
I remember exactly how heady and excited I'd get in the past as the day draws near but it feels like this year I'm feeling much more mellow about everything.
Not that I'm not happy- I'm still pretty looking forward to spend time with the girls and my other friends- just not giddy with anticipation.
Lol ! I must be growing up. Or perhaps it's as you grow, nothing really fazes you anymore and it takes much more to get you excited.
Sad is the truth.
Not that I mind the presents though, they still add an awesome touch to the day.
Hmm...
LOL. Who am I kidding. I'm smiling as I type this out. I LOVE THE PRESENTS !!! They're the whole point to birthdays ainnit???
So I met up with my Dad theother day, had a very impromptu dinner at Lawry's- didn't realize we were celebrating my birthday early.
My brother fresh out of BMT. So lanky and black.
The food was okay, but I just realized I'm not much of a gourmet. Damn picky about food yes, but I take horrible food photos. Not my fault okay ! It's the camera. La dee da, shoot. I should start taking lessons.
Kind of hungry just looking at the photos.
They asked why I ordered the ribs and not the steak. Honestly, I've been feeling so stingy these days, it's becoming a habit. Was trying to scrimp for my Dad (AHEM, cause I knew I was gonna rip him off soon enough in a couple of hours), besides, it's called Lawry's Prime Ribs isn't it??
No regrets though, the baby back ribs were good !! Thought it'd be kind of tough but it was so soft ! Yum dee dee yum.
Much better than Tony Roma's in my opinion. Unfortunately- if I were dining by myself minus my Dad, I'll only be able to afford that. HAHA !
They were like, doing the exact same thing. Curious eh?
The creme brulee were quite blergh.
Lol, and can you believe my Dad asked me to get a pair of shorts that day? He said my dress was too tight and short. Fathers.
And then we trekked all the way to get my advanced birthday gift !
Hehehe.
Okay la. I take my words back. I still love birthdays, and I still get heady.
Hahahahahaa.
I decided on the model a month before and was soooo afraid it would be sold out. My brother was all, why you so scared. Boys, they never understand.
And lo and behold ! The sales person told me that the one I wanted was out of stock and would only arrive end December. I went all silent and mumbly and I swear my eyes got abit teary. Abiiiit. So embarrassing. ALMOST 21 already still acting like a baby.
Eh don't laugh at me leh. I waited very long okay !
Hehehehee. Luckily just as I was beginning to resign to my sad woeful fate of having to wait 2 months that the girl appeared with the bag in her arms sheepishly.
I went YIPEEE ! in the store okay. Or YAY ! Or something like that.
Anyways. It was a good day, and I know I've a great Dad. He actually helped me decide the colour to get when I started contemplating another model after I knew the one I wanted was available. Yeah, super fickle I know.
I didn't want to have to go get it myself cause it'd feel much more special and more like a gift if he were there to buy it for me.
And then of course, that's about it. Won't say thank you here cause he doesn't read my blog. Will tell him that another time, I didn't say thanks can you believe it. HAHA ! Damn horrible.
Well, will post more in a few more days, I do hope everyone has fun- and that the food will be okay and nobody'll get a stomach ache from eating them. And that everything goes okay.
Haha, so much nerves that are uncalled for I know. 21st ma.
Hai, and I'm so regretting my birthday dress zzz. Should have gotten something simple.
Bye for now, before I bore you to death.
Am going to- try- to- study- a- little- for- my- impending- examinations- now. ):
