2 more days to holidays !

    10:11 PM

    Gosh.

I am so frustrated, you have no idea !

It's 12:48am right now, I have yet to shower, I got caught in the rain today (i dont' care however small it might be), I have been trying to update this post for the last- 3 months !!! and till now I've only written 3 very short paragraphs.

    Lol.

So that explains my long hiatus.

Why does some technology always have to be so slow- tedious- and complicating?

    Not to add- frustrating.

Why can't I simply load ALLLLL of my photos into this kuku blog by just highlighting all of them and clicking my right button?

Doesn't technology understand that if I don't update on my Taiwan trip, I can't go on to update any of my life's recent events??

Because I forgo updating on the trip and write about something else, I'll never get the chance to update on it again !!

In case you're wondering what's the big deal, I can never skip blogging about present events and skip back to blogging about past events.

Because my life takes place in a very organized manner, thank you.

Hehe, and thus- here is my 3 months effort on simply UPLOADING the bazillion photos on my the trip.

And a bazillion photos it really is, most of them are of me, so brace yourselves ! Aha !

Oh oh, and digressing for awhile, in case if I sound like I'm in a bad mood, I'm not.

Just a teensy bit frustrated of Blogger- but besides that, I'm almost jubilant.

Because my exams are ALMOST over, I completed the toughest module there ever was (facilities construction) and I've got my life back !

Heheee. I've forgotten most of the stuff on trip but- the great ones I do remember.

    So here goes.

    (:
The familiar Singapore Airport and the first photo to kick off my 500 odd photo post.

    (no, i'm not kidding.)

Ah, and what do we have here? Sunrise, sunrise. I know, i'm so lame right. I risked puking by looking out of the window to take these photos.

The ride was terrible and I was absolutely nasty to the air stewardess.

    Sorry !

Don't know why leh. The feeling of being in such a tight space and ears and brain so tight, blearrrghhh.

And slowly but surely (actually quite fast la), here we are !

    Ahem, by the way.

I'm afraid you're mistaken TW, WE are number one.

Hehehehee. I do think that Singapore has a smashing airport.

    It's 16 degress out there !

And here i was thinking, naïve me, "where got cold?! 16 degrees only what. Same as our aircon room. Chey, luckily i didn't bring much clothes".

    Hehee. Boy, was i wrong.

Oh oh ! And our first stop.

(happened so long ago, i don't even remember what most of these places are called already la.)

Anyways, this place was the one where the rocks form, and there's still particular rock that formed to look at a queen's head. That's exactly what they call her (the stone) in mandarin.

It's a really pretty place. Hold on !

Oh, and really alot of photos of me la. Hehe.

EH ! What, if you went holidaying you would take alot of photos also okay.

    Don't judge me hor.

The place is bigger than it seems. See the white dot on top? That's a house, but not really sure what it's for leh.

Ah, and there's the head. Queer isn't it?

Scare me, here very slippery leh. Almost slipped. Hehee.

A woman collecting cockles or something I think.

    Breeding grounds for mosquitos.

    Can see?

    Soft waves.

Ah yay ! And finally the famous Shi Lin marketplace. Or at least I think it's a marketplace leh. It use to be on the streets or something but now there's an enclosed building for it.

So many stalls inside, and we only had the time and stomach to try a few.

    ):

    The frog eggs drink.

It's quite a normal drink la. A liiittttle bit sour like our "suan mei" drink but with tiny little round jelly thinks inside.

At first I thought they were really frog eggs or what leh.

The the tour guide must have thought I'm siao. It's just jelly. -_-

Aha ! And now ! There was this stall at the very end of the marketplace, where a japanese guy sells mua chi. Hehe.

I bet you've never seen this sort of variety before right.

    Don't get too hungry hor.

I can't remember what flavour this was. Should be dark sugar or something.

The white chunks are the muachi !

And my very favourite ! Cheese !

Never thought of it right? Muachi with cheese. It was less cheesy and more milky instead.

    Still, lovely !

The muachi so Q leh. Hehee.

And this is... peanut powder or something.

I'm not really a big fan of it cause the fine powder gets stuck everywhere inside your mouth when you chew on the muachi. Really irritating.

This is the store owner and the dots on the fridge are his orders. So many right.

    Can you guess what's this??

    I think not la.

    It's chicken's backside.

Surprisingly, it was reeeaaaallly reeeeaaaaally good.

    The many stalls.

And then there was this famous stall (most of the stall inside there sold the same thing but this was supposed to be better or something), which sells Taiwan's famous must try Orh Ar Jian !

    (did i spell it right?)

    Tadah ! Looks good right?

But I don't know how it tastes leh. I always thought that it's a bit disgusting.

Abit smelly. But my brother said it's very nice. Oh well.

Oh, and this place, the resort we went to... erm, what's that again.

    The hot spring la. Haha.

The pictures really doesn't do the place justice.

If I remember correctly, this place is called Yang Ming Shan 陽明山 (so curiously chinese right?!)
(like some kind of olden days place).

At first we felt a bit sick. Didn't sleep the whole night, then must go here go there, now must bath in hot spring?!

But luckily, it was extremely rejuvenating.

Haha. There's my brother inside there. The springs someore got flavour one leh.

If i'm not wrong that should be coffee or green tea.

p.s, the clothes I went down to the spring with had to be thrown. Cause all of them smelt badly of coal.

Anyways, the springs were burning, which was really shiok, and your skin becomes really soft and supple after you come out of it.

Waa ! And i really just want to add ar, by looking at these pictures you'd think the weather was quite hot.

But ! It was like 14, 15 degrees (in my opinion) and everywhere we went, whoo !

There was like this soft cooooold breeze blowing. Ahh. How very unnatural for me.

It was like those after winter winds you get, but much more comfortable. And when you breathe rights, it's so smooth and cleeeaaan.

And then there's the sun, and the wind, and just the open air air conditioning like atmosphere, you never get tired !

    Unlike Singapore, so humid.

Ask me to walk down orchard while breathing in the moisture- can get really tiring and mood dampening already.

No wonder we youngsters always get sick and irritated walking outside.

Our first hotel night. We went to quite a few, 7 if I'm not wrong. Some were good, some were okay, and some were kind of lousy.

But this was okay. Also TW doesn't use the same kind of plugs we here use. So I had a bad time trying to charge my camera and phone.

    American breakfast.
    A temple we stopped at.

(i think we visited a couple. like 2 or 3.)

And then this was the place we stopped at. I can't remember the name, but it's far away from Taipei and on a mountain. The place that Tony Leung supposedly made famous with one of the movies he played.

The first day i wore quite little thinking that I could handle the weather.

But no, the second day was the worst.

You know how for winters, you usually prepare for it and wear really thick clothes?

But for this, nope. We were all hao lianing around that it's not cold but when it rained- lol.

There was nothing that braced us for it. My fingers couldn't even feel anything and I was just sooo desperate to get a pair of gloves !

Ha! My Dad who unlike us, didn't get any gloves when he got the chance claiming it's not cold.

I bet he was shivering under that raincoat. -_-

    Tuorists and hawkers.

Over here, when we spoke, got that cold mist coming out someore lo.

    太平洋。

We passed this ocean many times when we were circling the mountains.

Because the entire area was dominated by these mountains, there was no way to cut through them but to circle around them to get to the next mountain.

Once we were on the coach, it was often 3 hours or so before we could get to our next destination. But hor, I realized that I preferred this more to shopping leh. The sight seeing was really something different.

There's something, so chinese about it and so, ethereal.

Gosh. I took this photo from so hight above the mountains, (the mountain roads has no barriers so it feels like the coach cold go lolling down the soiled slopes anytime), the crashing waves, unreal.
    Next sight seeing stop.

The waterfall is said to be a natural one.

    Cold leh.

Then there was this weird mountain opening that looks like it jumped out of an olden day war or horror movie.

    One of the not-so-good hotels.

Oh ! And it was Christmas when I went. Too bad they don't really celebrate Christmas- supposedly.

Cause they're a largely buddhist country.

Up in the mountains where the 原住民 are.

Some of them quite handsome one leh. Hehe. I thought they would be dark, but turns out some are quite fair.

愛河- this should be Gao Xiong if I'm not wrong ba.
The Love River, where we took like a 30 minutes boat ride to see the buildings of Gao Xiong.

Not bad la. Like Singapore River lo.

And when we were on the road, we had lunch in a restaurant near this seaside.

Very nice right ?! So blue and not another person to be seen on the soft sands.

But it was too cold to stay out here so long la. Haha. This is also 太平洋, it spreads out far and wide.

Oh, and bubble tea. Did I mention how much bubble tea i consumed there?!

They're like 150-200NT ! Around $1 lo. And the best thing is, they're always huge, AND !

    It's still bubble tea.

Nowadays in Singapore places always claims to sell bubble tea, but it's not !

Bubble tea has to be really shaken ! Like hard ! Then it will be thick and bubble and thick what.

Singapore's bubble tea tastes more like teh with milk. Pfft.

On a bigger boat right. This one made me kind of seasick.

And hor, in TW. I realized those people not living in cities like Taipei, and maybe GaoXiong la if you consider it a city- they're really quite kampong one leh.

Not that it's not good, they're really friendly and... nice lo. Plus they will speak Hokkien. (:

Dusk is almost setting in. At about 5pm.

    A new day !
More muachi. TW really like their muachis. This one abit more high class la.

Place to get souvenirs. This is where i got the bunch of keychains !

    Another hotel.

Another temple. This one was huge and, really interesting.

This is where i got the keychains with the cartoon Gods !

    Quite radiant, isn't it?

This photo is pretty good even if i do say so myself. Ahaa.

    The mighty entrance.

    My brother took this one.

    The Terra-cotta soldier.

He thinks he is very funny.

And lunch. Where's the food ?!

    Hotel again.

I think it's cute that they call they're hotels 飯店.

    And we're out again !

Where is this place I'm not sure. But in another town far down TW.

Bubble tea again ! See the bubble? This one was good.

    Hehe. 賀軍翔 !!

    How cuuuute.

    More bubble tea.

Okay la. This stall we ordered something else.

    Something sour.

Such regret, should have drank milk tea or something.

Another night market we headed to.

    Junk food galore !

Oh, and the store where I bought dickies backpack for Wenhao. My brother bought one too. Singapore cheaper la. We got cheated.

Funny that when i spoke to the salesperson hor, straightaway he asks if I'm local.

And then he asks me if I need him to calculate the currency in SGD. -_-

    Am I so obvious?

High tech leh they're cafes. If your order is ready, this will beep !

TW's BIG ! chicken chop. It's much better than Singapore's Shihlin. Yum.

Oh and I didn't take a photo but one of my favourites was the big sausage wrap small sausage 大腸包小腸! It was so good !!!

The big sausage is made with chewy sticky rice and it wraps the smaller sausage (which is pretty big in my opinion).

    *droools*

    Everywhere was selling this.

And after all the food, I still couldn't resist trying a cup noodle from 7-eleven back in the hotel.

Up next is Chiang Kai Shek's memorium.
    Cold day it was.
    Really big-
    and pretty lavish.
Milk tea- again ! And my gloves.

And this, is Shi Men Ding- famous shopping district !

I love Peacoats ! If only we had colder weather here.

Blogger messed up my sequence of photos again. This was supposed to be infront !

    Aiya never mind la.

    Press water. Haha.

View from ABOVE. What building, I can't remember.

It's a pretty huge city down there.

    I wonder where's Jay?

Okay, so this is supposed to be our first day in Taipei.

What is it doing here I have no idea.

This was when I still thought that I was pretty macho to be able to handle the weather. Hahahaha.

    Marketplace.

So old the movie they still playing.

    Sunset by the river.

You can actually win the bunny if you win their games.

See the red words behind? Haha !

    Regret leh I didn't try.

    Should have been more adventurous.

    People, people and moreee people.

    I didn't try this other.

They used to be really popular right? The tall ice creams?

Siao. So cold how to eat.

    Bubble tea stalls.

They do intrigue me with they're many awesome flavours.

    Dense, dense place.

    And here's another stop.

This was seriously the cutest dog I saw there. There so many !!

Their people really really loveee their dogs ! Shopping centre and food courts also allow dogs in one leh.

    The lover's bridge in Taipei.

    Walked halfway only. Too far.

This horse looked so pretty and kelian. ):

I stared at it for reaaally.

Oh, and this was actually the first place we ate at on our first day there.

We went there for- guess what?

    Xiao Long Bao.

    Was it good?

    Haha. YA.

The skin is so translucent, you can can see the soup inside.

And they don't tear easily though they're think.

    Another flavour. Slurp.

    I'm so hungry now.

Takeshi was here ! Can you spot him?

Eh? Here's the photo of the hot spring resort.

    Stupid blogger.

And finally, the Old Tofu Street.

This street sells all kinds of tofu, smelly, not smelly, boiled and everything.

It was a rainy day and cold day again.

The tofu. I'm not the one eating la.

I only took a bit and it was nice.

It's not the smelly one la. I was very tempted to have the smelly one, but then scared the smell will be retained in my mouth. -o-

After watching the soldiers march, it was time for dinner.

    We were having steamboat-

I've never really liked steamboat. I always felt the food inside tastes all the same and the only good taste comes from the soya sauce.

So, wasn't very enthusiastic about the meal la.

    Individual pots.

    My individual pot ! ((:

My neat food nicely placed in the beginning.

So halfway through, after eating abit, I gave up, and decided to make my corn soup !

He he. I think that it was quite a succcess. Tasted rather corny.

    A Taiwan bus.
After that, I think we returned to Shi Men Ding to shop around and it someore.

    (the steamboat wasn't very good)

And it was the time of the Red Cliff.

    A stall selling bbq-ed corn.

Why there got so many hawkers stalls with such interesting food huh?

We also stopped for a late dinner at some small stall that was packed with people.

Carrot cake with special house sauce.

Funny how some $2 thing can taste better than some $20 stuff.

Noodles with salty minced meat sauce.

    Orh Ar Jian again.

    The tour guide in front.

Very special leh. At those crossroads, the ones where we usually have to cross two streets, they have this diagonal crossing !

So we only have to cross one. Good riiiiiight?!

Am i just kiasu or what?

    Taipei 101.

): I love bomber and faux leather jackets too.

But I've never wore this jacket again once since i returned to Singapore.

Not used to wearing faux leather here la. So ps.

Hai. Why can't it be slightly colder here?

The lunch we had was over here.

I think that this restaurant (yup, the entire building) is a spanish or brazilian design. The inside is like 4 storeys tall can?

The very very lavish inside. This is the first storey by the way.

    One level's seating.

    And another.

My camera fell in here and I thought it was okay. Turned out that i was damaged. ):

Hehee. One of favourite meals there. Lost my dad they all while shopping around Taipei 101 area.

So decided to try their Mac before returning to the hotel.

The nuggets abit different but still very nice la.

And hor ! Their green tea are all the japanese types. Not sweet at all even the bottled ones.

So when Mac told me that they had green tea after I asked, I thought that I would finally get to drink the Heaven and Earth one that Mac has here.

But alas, it was the same Japanese type. Hai.

My brother deciding suddenly that he has taken on a liking to specs.

    Blue, blue skies.

Finally, for the last stop, we got to sleep comfortably in Grand Hyatt.

And also got treated to a lovely breakfast !

    And that's all !!!

    Look at the time now.

Two days to finish writing this. Oh, well.

At least I can blog about something else in future !

I better go and study for my final module.

((: See you guys around !!

    Beneath the twilit sky.

    Friday, December 19, 2008
    2:37 PM

    Okayyyy.

So theother day, I finally got the chance to catch Twilight.

And probably like every girl out there, I was totally, and utterly, AND entirely, captivated.

Edward Cullen on the big screen is mind-blowing, and like the book so un-shamefully repeats in almost every other page- beautiful.

Hahaha. Okay la. In the back of my mind, I tell myself it's all a hoax.

The real Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) doesn't even come close as to be half as pretty as he is on screen.

    In my opinion anyways.

The make-up was done incredibly, thus his fairness, hahaha.

    Really had me speechless.

Is he part albino or what?

How he's so white in the movie, should be made illegal.

So the very next day, like a crazy teenage fan, I went to Times and got myself a two copies of Twilight.

There were 4 in total, but apparently theother 2 were out of stock.

(reading makes my eyesight deteriorate really fast la)

(kind of regret my decision now)

And I read the book once i arrived home at 12am, alllll the way to 6 plus in the morning !

It's been a really long time since I did that- and still, I couldn't finish the book. Almost till the end, but not finished.

The book is actually to me so-so la. Nowhere near to taking over Harry Potter like the comments and the back suggests.

Still, what intrigued me most throughout the story was- how he seemed so chivalrous.

Every girl dreams of chivalry, and we all know how chivalry is dead.

    Crazy.

But Bella in the books was lovely enough- thought fanatical, but lovely still.

Stunning how a 108 year old vampire can still be so innocent leh.

    Hehehee.

Funny how in the books Edward asked if Bella had done the deed before, but it didn't even occur to Bella to return the question.

Eh, people 108 years old already leh. Tsk.

    Funnily enough,

my brother was like "stupidest movie I ever watched la. Talk talk talk. See the lopsided face guy run about. So boring. Wasted my $8.50".

Hehehee. And to my surprise, Wenhao, who like me- hehe, doesn't mind and quite enjoys watching good looking guys on screen, mumbled after the show, "i feel like the whole show watching him act shuai only. So sian.".

    -_-

Anyhow, i felt that it was a really good movie.

Star crossed lovers always come more passionate.

And my mind is still taken aback by the show, like how i was in Leonardo and Claire Danes' Romeo and Juliet.

Like how I was in Moulin Rouge. Such a weird feeling.

    *****

Enough of babbling on about that !

I've got to hurry and meet Elaine now.

And pack my bags at night cause I'm going off to Taiwan tomorrow !!!

    Hehehee.

I do hope you guys enjoy your holidays !

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

    Another week.

    Tuesday, November 11, 2008
    11:00 PM

Loaded blogger with a good mind to blog about light-hearted nothings when something else slipped into my mind while looking at the TV and at xiaxue's blog.

(i do multi-task rather well hor. hehe.)

(i'm always looking at the tv nowadays at 9pm cause i decided that watching a dying man live in a prejudiced world is too sick. i can't be angry at this cause i discriminate alot of times too. so i've taken to only looking and glancing at the tv every once in awhile.)

So as I was saying, something came into my mind while I glanced at the dying Bu Fan character at TV (he was at a particularly ke lian moment).

And I wondered if he would be happier if he just left the world and went to heaven.

Whilst all this, I was reading about what xiaxue blogged about Obama.

They both interlink okay, so let me continue.

So I don't usually write about religion, I sometimes talk about it with my friends but- I find that it's a personal relationship between two and somewhat sensitive. Another reason that I don't write about it is cause whatever that comes out will be largely biased. I have good friends who strongly believe in other things- and they're still great people. We're all entitled to believe in different things.

Okay. Back to the thing that slipped into my mind while looking at the TV.

Sometime ago I caught this movie (not very popular la. you probably didn't see it), it's called "The Bucket List" and it stars both Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.

(and you think wl! these two famous people i sure see before one la !)
(and if you're the ones thinking who are these people... then nvm. that's not important anyway.)

Okay. So these are two old, ill dying men, who ends up in the same hospital ward, one ridiculously rich, and theother poor.

They can't stand each other, but as most movies often turn out, after certain trials and tribulations, they decide to do extraordinary things together, and both come to understand life moments before they kick the bucket.

I'm not going to summarize the entire story, don't worry. It was just this one part of the movie that's still heavily etched in my mind. Sorry for droning on hor.

So, this Jack Nicholson (being the rich old playboy), doesn't give a hoot about God. Morgan Freeman on the other hand, is a rather religious man.

In this particular scene, Jack Nicholson's old heckcare attitude kicks in. I can't really remember what happened but some religious talk came up between them.

And in this particular scene, an irritated Morgan Freeman asks a somewhat yaya papaya Jack Nicholson-

The dialogue goes something like that la-

Morgan: How can you be so aloof about God?
Don't you believe that there's someone up there?

    Jack: I do not.

Morgan: So you believe that when we die. We die.

    Jack: Yes.

Morgan: (i can't really remember what he said but it was something like this la.)
    No heaven.
Why would you want to believe in something like that?
Would you be happy if you were right?

    Aloof and tired Jack:
    Look...
    If I'm right, I win.
    And if I'm wrong...
    I win. Ok?

This scene got me thinking a good ten minutes during the movie.

So... new president, chronic diseases, recession.

    We can still hope.

All of us has to kick the bucket sometime or rather.

So my point is... nothing. Hahaha. If you didn't get any of that- sorry. Hahahaha. I'm just rambling la.

Let's move on to something more light-hearted and airy !

My week in a nutshell !

(this happened quite sometime ago but what the heck.)

Wenhao's brother's solemnization ! (don't really know what that is. but it's a happy event where two people get legally married before holding the banquet i think.)

(and i so regret that i wore flip-flops there.)

Anyways, I forgot to bring my camera there. Fortunately, got professional photographers with their professional SLRs there to taken pictures of us ! Yay !

It was held a a boutique hotel called The Scarlet by the way.

Finally a good picture with both of us. Yipee yaiyai !

His brother and wife! Haha. The Wenhao thinks he can bluff all of us. Stand infront abit more that's why look so big size. Ehhhhhh.

Don't like this photo la. I look particularly short.

The happy couple ! The photographer very brilliant right? Can think of something like that to take more creative photos. Haha.

    Here's wishing them ever happiness.

And moving on. The month of November welcomes my brother's 16th !

Hai. My last resort of a present. Hahahaha. PlayStation 3 !

And thank you. Now I'm dead broke.

Or okay la. Somewhere between those lines la. Hehee.

He was so happy ! Smsed him late at night to ask him if he was sad that I didn't buy anything for his birthday.

Didn't expect that he would reply " Nvm(: ". Hahahaha.

PS3 ! I can finally try out the latest GTA !
(if i ever get to buying la. disgusting leh. PS3 games so expensive one. only bought my brother one game to play. hahaha.)

And next up was last night when my Dad finally came to Singapore to bring us go eat dinner.

Was so hungry so only took photos after all the food was gone):

Eat so much until want to puke.

Boys eat crab very fast one leh. They just keep biting, plucking, and putting the meat into their mouths. And the cycle continues.

Hahaha ! Heng i no need to pluck ! Got three strong brutes to pluck for me.

I very Xiao Jie one okay.

Well that's all for today ! Seems like a pretty long post hor.

On a side note, Si Ying just told me that they're A's are as good as over and they're as free as the fishes swimming in you dirty fish tanks ! Yay !

From now on nothing to do can call them out to entertain me. Hehehehe. At long last.

    Ole ole ole !

Alrighteeeey. Time to shower and sleep.

    Tomorrow's another long day !

    Life and it's silver platter.

    Tuesday, November 04, 2008
    10:37 PM

    ):

I just finished watching the 9pm show on channel 8 and it is sooo disgusting !!!!

Hai. Before the show even started airing, I knew it would be horrible just by watching the shorts.

I hate shows with pitiful people. Like the ones Xie ShaoGuang and Huang Bi Ren are always in.

It stars Chen Han Wei (his my favourite male actor on ch8 since young!) (have always been silently perplexed over why alot of girls my age don't think he's very good), and the show is about him being a good family man but ends up having aids because of one incident with a prostitute.

Before the show, I thought he was a womanizing guy, that's why he got aids. But no !!!! He is such a good man !!! Argh !

For the past few days, at 9pm my throat gets so sore from trying not to cry watching him and his painful AIDS patient expressions.

So ke lian la ! (he acts pitiful so well)

Hai !!! Why he never protect himself properly ! I am just so angry at the show.

Though I know that it's just a show, but surely, somewhere right now, some unfortunate, innocent person who's gotten aids from another unthinking, selfish inhuman being must feel like dying now.

Life is so unfair really. These people have their whole life ahead and suddenly, they are like not part of the human race anymore. Just some separated individual waiting for death to befall them as quickly as possible.

    Stupid prostitutes.

It's like living in a nightmare that you can never get out of.

Hai. Watching the show makes me wonder how such things can be made to happen to anyone. Very sad leh. But I cannot resist watching. And every second watching it, my heart wrenches for Bu Fan and how much I hate the show.

I have to stop being so judgmental and scared of people who are sick.
(ok la. abit difficult. but i shall try to stop thinking mean and selfish thoughts every time strangers cough cough in the train)
(i admit that i do that very often. i'm almightily afraid of falling ill)

Hai. Ke lian de Bu Fan. I do hope thinks turn better for him.

Let us remind ourselves to stop taking our health for granted okay.

    Hectic city isn't it?

    Sunday, November 02, 2008
    6:48 PM

Salutations once again, several days have passed since I last updated and precious time is being drained away as I get older from being young.

The good news is, so are you ! Hehe.

    Ok. Never mind that.

From juggling schoolwork (not that I really do much of it(:), work and play, I find myself absolutely exhausted this pass week lo.

Hai. I must be getting old. Every morning, I wake up with my back feeling as stiff as a block of wood and wishing for a big strong masseuse to hammer on my back and to crack EVERY bone in my body !!

*CreeeacccckkkkkCreeeeaaaakkkkkk* !!!! So shiok la !

Anyways, went in to JB to visit my Dad and to get some paperwork done. Some photos!

    My dingbat brother. Heheee.

And my lovely father in the mirror.

    Me !

Oh oh ! And while I was at one of the new malls in JB, I noticed a pet shop and couldn't resist.

They were so cute la all piled together looking ultra comfy and warm with their fats and fur.

    Hehee.

If you think that's all there's more !

    Such lovely creatures.

Had to stop myself from using the flash cause had a feeling it would scare them half to death.

Or worse, later all of them wake up and stare at me. Ahahahahaa !

When I have time again I think I may buy one more hamster ! But then again hor, too many of them have died in my hands. Very sad one leh they die ! I won't even dare to look or touch it.

Lol. So maybe better not la.

Alright. Short post this one is.

I think I can do much better in the next update. Heehe.

    Till the next time !

Oh oh ! Do pray that I get to catch Quantum of Solace this week !

Good movies should always be in abundance. ):

    Bye-o!

    Before sleep.

    10:42 PM

    Let me blog a little.

Pardon my endless dronings. The below are all nothing of particular importance.

Lol. My week has been... mediocre, what with school and all. It seems that the lecturers in SP have all agreed to come down harder on us for our attendance. I'm supposed to arrive in class no later than fifteen minutes to be considered present ! That is something I find extremely difficult to comply with and it frustrates me to no end in the morning.

Usually, even if I do get up at an earlier time, I seem to still end up being late. How does that even happen?

Lol. Anyways, besides that, in less than one week, I've fallen down twice !

    ):

The first time was actually much worse than the second.

Being my usual daydreaming self, the head of my flip flops actually tripped over the bus stop ledge while I was getting off the bus.

At Orchard no less. I landed on my knee, face down (ok la. maybe it's somewhere along that position but my face never got close to kissing the floor).

Luckily I used my palms to stop me from really falling face down leh !

That Wen Hao who was walking ahead of me turned around only to realize that he couldn't find me anywhere. (because i was sprawled on the floor)

    ...

Of course then, I stood up, called his name and displayed my (slightly) grazed knee to show him. And that after that of course whine whine whine la.

Eh although never bleed alot but pain okay! ): Someore so humiliating. The people at the bus stop just "Oh!" and look down at the fallen me. Hm, Singaporeans.

At least after getting laughed at, the very traumatized me got free dinner to eat la. Yay !

Wanted to post a picture of my injury (i know, i am extremely lame), which is now I am pleased to say, been reduced to being nothing more than a 50cents sized itchy scab. Aha !

But then realized my Mac has no SD card reader. Hm. Still, it's lovely ! (:

    Hehee.

And then today !! The afternoon downpour made it so hard for me to walk to Dover MRT from school. I was scared to death of slipping and falling! Wet smooth granite floor DO NOT go well with half year old flip flops.

Do you even know how it feels to have your feet slide several times while walking on wet floors? Very scary lo ! Some may think it's very exhilarating la. Can fasten the heartbeat. But not me. Every time my feet slides my heart becomes very weak. ): Hehee.

So I walk slowly, looking very silly, with really small steps all the way to the MRT with the harsh rain splashing. (got shelter la. but shelter never protect rain from the side ma)

So slowly but surely, I made it to the MRT station which allowed me to banish all precautions against falling from my mind.

I took the escalator to the platform, STILL, with the rain splashing on my head. I was so caught up in wondering where the rain was coming from, considering that the MRT station has a roof over itself, I step off the escalator, and lo and behold !

I slipped and fell in like a split second.

    ...

Luckily not peak period after school ar. If not daaaamn pai seh. Then there was this poor elderly uncle in front of my who seemed liek he got the shock of his life.

Hahahaha. He kept repeating in chinese, "be careful, slippery".

In my state of pai sehness and a hammering heart I simply nodded and stood up to walk further away.

I guess the lucky part was that the wet smooth floor did not hurt me at all. Well, except to my pride la. And my palm was throbbing cause I used it to block the fall.

    Lol. How very fortunate.

The moral of the story is ! Thank God for palms and their usefulness during falling frenzies.

I now know what rigid and strong bones i have. (:

    Hehee.

And now, sleep. Goodnight again !
