So !
I suppose it has been more than a month since I returned from HK-
and I am now blogging about it diligently like a good hardworking girl. Aha.
(must blog about it la- if not go holiday take so much photos for what??)
I'll try to remember as much of it as possible.
(digressing, the blockbuster of a serial, red thread, is playing on ch5, and i really cannot help NOT rolling my eyes every 3 seconds at their forced americana accents.)
(i know. oh, save me, i'm getting so judgmental.)
So again ! Let's start form the very beginning shall we?? (:
It was early in the morning when we arrived at the airport for our trip and some of us had a group photo before leaving for departure.
Kua kua kua.
Kai Ling and I were really blur la.
I was like scanning my passport in the departure all the while lugging at my luggage.
The we both walked around for abit before realizing that something was amiss.
Almost nobody else was lugging luggage ! Oh happy day. We had forgotten to check in our luggage and had to take a detour to check them in before heading for breakfast.
Smart right.
Still ! I'm sure the crew thought our bimbo-ness to be quite endearing. Heheee.
And lo and behold !
We are in the air.
Delighted when I found out that Twilight was playing.
(i feel like i can watch it everyday la !)
(i know, my shallow girly fanatic side never seems to fail to disappoint me.)
Ah... nothing like a scoop of dashing Edward to make my trip.
Though- I'm sure Wenhao looks much better than him. La deee da !
Ahem ahem !
And tadah ! In less than a half a dozen hours later, we are all comfortably seated on the coach.
I know- holidays always feels like they are on fast forward. So fast right?!
Edmund Lim's trying to balance and take the photo if I remember correctly.
I couldn't help it.
So HK.
Our humble abode for the next 4 days.
A hotel's a hotel la.
At least it was clean and tidy.
Stanley Street, situated somewhere in HongKong.
A photo with out lecturer, Mr Lim.
Oh, and the weather was actually okay. Not that cold la in my opinion. Quite comfortable really.
First day, and we're brought to a beach for photos.
This is actually pretty high up on a hill leh.
So it was pretty windy here.
The hill/ or mountain, goes up and up and I heard my lecturer commenting on how dangerous it must be to live there.
The houses and buildings dots around the hill/ or mountain, and I think hor,
it's almost dreamlike to live there la.
The houses are pretty- not too lavish or anything, but the be situated so high on a hill, and to be able to look right DOWN to see a beach and the city- not to mention the light ocean winds blowing into your windows, gosh.
I don't know leh. I suppose it must feel like living on a little piece of heaven, literally.
Taking photo with the waters that some fortunate others look down at from their windows everyday.
This photo like very artsy huh? Hehee.
It was 23 degrees but i think it felt colder than Singapore will ever be.
A pretty building that's vacant according the the tour guide.
After about 1 hour of circling the hill/ or mountain, we wander around taking photos before heading to the tram to return the the bottom.
(it was a little too foggy for photos that night.)
Tram approaching.
What the tram looks like.
(digressing again, i kept having the feeling like "tram" sounds like a female goat. no idea why.)
And in about 8-10 minutes of sliding- yes- sliding down the hill/ or mountain, the tram arrived at the bottom of the hill/ or mountain. Quite nerve wrecking really.
I was like- we could have taken the tram up there??
Kuku.
So, at night time, we almost run into the first restaurant I see. I don't think I had a proper meal the entire day lo ! Just a few bites on the plane.
The menu costs 500HKD.
Hehee.
Looks quite terrible right.
So hungry, we didn't even remember to take photos.
Just walloped into the food first.
HongKong's
茶餐厅 are so different from Singapore's one la. Theirs are more untidy.
After dinner, we shopped around for abit after dinner.
Quite something right. Hehe.
Look at how tiny the people are.
First breakfast the next day.
And the next destination was finally-
Hong Kong Disneyland !
Quite kiasa la. My first time to Disneyland.
Hm... in honest opinion. It was okay ok la.
Perhaps the time we were given to be there was too long.
Photos,
photos,
and,
more,
photos.
Main Street, USA.
Princess Aurora and Prince philip.
This prince was really quite charming.
Must really give it to Disney la.
They are really pretty lavish in their makings.
Eh... the Mad hatter's building?
High School Musical performance.
Heng no one tried to impersonate the one and only Troy Bolton. Heheheee.
Cute kids.
Hm. I still think the Stitch ride was really cute.
The 3-D? 4-D? ride?
This was the more magical part for me.
E hee. Trying to act cute la.
Them again.
Even their food court/ or cafeteria (you can never be too sure of places overseas), was so lavish la !
I think the prettiest princess there was her la.
I was quite afraid of the rest. Abit scary leh.
They made a building just for one ride.
You see what I mean by lavish??
I took like 70+ photos inside that ride itself leh !
Imagine at least 50 other frames of little people like that in one simple ride la.
The magical Carousel which I did not even bother going on.
Seriously, where has the princessy kid in me gone !
Main Street, USA, at night.
The famous nighttime fireworks display.
Of course I wasn't even able to capture 1/8th of it's splendor la.
Outside.
Lady's Street.
I love the restaurant la !
So HongKong Hong Kong. Hehee. Small, cramped and filled with Canton chatter. (:
Again, I was reaally hungry, and this was my most satisfying meal in HongKong by far.
I wanted duck rice, but according to my profound understanding of the shop keeper's sign and expression language, it was sold out.
So I had goose/ or geese rice instead and had further hard time in conveying my preference for non-chicken breast meat.
MacDonald's in HongKong.
Other country's Mac mayonnaise like nicer than ours leh.
Hmm...
In a cab !
At first, I thought the meter wouldn't jump cause we took one from Lady's Street all the way back to Metro Park hotel without it jumping at all.
At Starbucks.
Before the show.
A little after where these both supposedly claimed to see Daniel Wu outside Marco Polo hotel.
Tsk. Harumph.
Shopping, shopping and more shopping. Shop until no time to take photo of the marketplace leh.
My first time eating a corndog.
So nice la !! Next time must bring Wenhao to try.
A HongKong boy behind me. Hai. Daniel Wu, why did I miss seeing you???
Outside the dessert shop. Forgot to take photos of the dessert leh...
And then.
Ocean Park.
Pandas !
Dolphin!
Cable car !
Like very high right ??
Dared Skye and Kai Ling to shake the car but they lousy la !
If they not scared I sure try to shake one. Tskkkk.
Hehe. The rides that I took.
Not bad right?
Phiiiii- eeeeeewwwww !
Skye dirtying his panda.
And the Mine Train that I did not take.
Siao ! So near the ocean.
I havn't forgotten Final Destination okay.
And soon enough, it was time to return to Singapore.
A final meal in HongKong at the airport.
Finally some HK Dim Sum !
Sparked off my love for Ha Gau.
Eh... haha.
The Xiao Long Bao I think Singapore's Crystal Jade's nicer.
This was as good as it looks.
Some photos before leaving. With Fanessa and Amber.
Ah, and the final photo.
Alrightey !
I'm finally done.
It's still the first week of school now and may everyone be well and happy this merry month.
Hopefully, I'll update more often.
That's all. Tooodddless all.
